Our Founder Cherie Kowalczyk Estes
My grandmothers, Almeda and Eva, were each married to coal miners and raised their families in central Pennsylvania. Despite their modest financial circumstances, their homesteading skills and determination were remarkable, and they inspired me from a young age. I honor their legacy here by crafting products that draw upon the knowledge and craftsmanship they imparted to me.
As a licensed community herbalist based in Washington, D.C., I have dedicated myself to the pursuit of herbalism with the aspiration to improve the overall well-being of my family.
For several years, we encountered recurring challenges related to heightened skin sensitivity. Consequently, it became crucial for me to identify a holistic and natural solution to alleviate these concerns.
During my herbalism training, the herbs Calendula (Calendula officinalis), and Lavender (Lavandula augustifolia) stood out to me for their
antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties which may aid in regenerating cells and easing muscle fatigue. These herbs form the heart of our flagship bath products.
